Tibet Kailash Manasarovar pilgrimage is the most sacred and challenging among devotees. It is regarded as the holy center of the universe among both Hindu and Buddhist religious group. Every year (especially in the year of Tibetan Horse Year in Tibetan Calendar), there are any pilgrimage groups from all over the world to have divine glimpse of Lord Shiva’s abode to attain release from the clutches of ignorance and delusion. Mt Kailash tour along covers circuit around the holy mountain-clockwise for the Buddhists, anti-clockwise for Bon adherents are known as a Kora or Parikrama (Circuit) and normally it takes three days.

Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Kyirong (180 km), 3300m, in Kyirong guesthouse or similar one if late booking
Day 02: Rest Day at Kyirong, 3300m, in Ardun guesthouse or similar one if late booking
Day 03 We drive from Kyirong to Saga/4450 m, in budget guesthouse
Day 04: We drive from Saga to Manasarover (4558m) 506 km, in Chiu Gompa Guesthouse
Day 05: Pooja and drive to Darchen (14975 ft) 40km, in minzhiguang Guesthouse or similar one
Day 06: Darchen-Dira Puk ([20 km, 5-6 hours, 5050 m] overnight at guesthouse (dormitory basis)
Day 07: Dira Puk-Trek to Zuthul Puk Monastery, [18Km, 6-8 hours, 4820 m] overnight at guesthouse (dormitory basis)
Day 08: Zuthul Puk-Darchen [14 Km, 3-4 hours, 4670 m] overnight at Kailash Hymalaya Hotel (best available)
Day 09: End of Kailash Parikrama and drive to Manasarovar, in Chiu Gompa Guesthouse
Day 10: Drive to Saga (about 506 km) 7-8 hrs, in guesthouse
Day 11: Drive to Shigatse city which is the 2nd largest city of Tibet, o/n in Manasarovar hotel
Day 12: Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and local market, then drive to Gyantse after lunch, o/n in Jianzang Hotel in Gyantse
Day 13: Gyantse-Pelkhor Monastery-Yamdrok-Lhasa
Day 14: Sightseeing in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar

Kathmandu Kailash Inner Kora Lhasa pilgrimage tour details
Day01 Kathmandu – Kyirong [3,750m]
Tour starts form early morning at 06:00. Drive to Dhulikhel, stop for breakfast and then again drive to Kyirong which is 180 km from Kathmandu takes 05-06hrs. Upon arrival our tour escort will help you to go through immigration formalities in Nepali part and after immigration formalities 03-04 minute walks to other side of the border i.e. Tibetan part, there will be our Tibetan Guide with 4WD Jeeps and supporting trucks takes you to Zhangmu (Tibetan town 09 km uphill drive form border.). At Zhangmu you again have to go through Chinese immigration formalities and there you will have your lunch and further drive to Nyalam (30 km from Zhangmu takes 2 hrs uphill drive.) o/n in Guest house.
Day02 Kyirong Rest day for acclimatization
Day03 Kyirong -Saga [4280m]
After breakfast our journey start to Saga which is 06-08 hrs drive, 4050 m in elevation and over night in camp.
Day04 Saga-Manasarovar [4,560m]
Early morning drive to Manasarovar which takes 4-5 hours drive, 4550m in elevation and over night in camp.
Day05 Manasarovar- Darchen [4,560m]
Explore Lake Manasarovar in the morning and drive to Darchen which is 1 hour drive and, 4,560 m in elevation and over night in camp/ guesthouse.
Days 06: Mt. Kailash Trek Day 1: Darchen – Dira-Puk Monastery (5050m) 20 km, 5-6 hours
We begin the Mt. Kailash Pilgrimage in the clockwise direction. 4km into the path, we reach the height of 4790m and the first prostration point that marks the first views of Mt. Kailash’s southern façade. The next important landmark is Tarboche flagpole (4750m), where the main rituals of Saga Dawa Full Moon Festival takes place here every year. You can pay visit to the nearby Chorten Kangnyi and Sky-Burial Site Of The 84 Mahasiddhas. Coming up next is Chuku Monastery (4820m), where you can find a revered marble statue inside. After some break time when you can take in more views, we will head towards the second prostration point, where you see prayers flags and views of the west side of Mt Kailash. The second Buddha footprint is a short distance ahead. There are several trails to reach our final destination of the day: Dira-Puk Monastery (5080m). It faces the north side of Mt. Kailash, and also provides viewpoints for peaks in other direction. Overnight stay at guesthouse (dorm bed without bathroom) near Dira-Puk Monastery. Sleeping bag is recommended.
Day 07: Mt. Kailash Trek Day 2: Dira-Puk Monastery – Zuthul-Puk Monastery (4790m) 18 km, 6-8 hours
We continue on the main Kora path towards the east. We pass through Kangkyam Glacier and Jarok Donkhang (5210m) meadowland. A short distance above is Shivatsal (5330m). Pilgrims go through a symbolic death here and are reborn at Drolma-la (5630m), which is half an hour away. After some rest and refreshments, we soon arrive at lake Gauri Kund. We gradually descent to the grand valley of Lha-chu, and begin a long journey in the grassland. The day concludes at Zuthul-Puk Monastery. Overnight stay at guesthouse (dorm bed without bathroom) near Zuthul-Puk Monastery. Sleeping bag is recommended.
Day 08: Mt. Kailash Trek Day 3: Zuthul-Puk Monastery- Darchen (4670 m) 14 km, 3-4 hours
We follow the river and then climbs the Gold & Red Cliffs. Pilgrims search for holy stones on these cliff walls. We will see prayer flags across the river, and Lake Rakshas Tal in the far distance. After reaching the fourth prostration point, the final walk back to Darchen is quite easy. Overnight stay in Darchen.
Day09: Darchen- Hor-Qu [4,560m]
End treks at Darchen and drive to Hor-Qu and over night in camp.
Day10 Hor-Qu-Saga [4,280m]Drive to Saga and over night in camp or in local hotel.
Day11 Saga – Shigatse (3,900m), Approx 10 hours slow and safe drive
Scenic drive through the highest point, Gyatso La pass (5,220m) en route to Lhasa via Lhatse and Sakya Monastery. Overnight in hotel
Day12 Shigatse-Gyantse [3,950m], 90km, Approx 2 hrs drive
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama’s Tashilunpo Monastery. Drive through the Tibet’s biggest Agricultural field to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Pelkor Choede Monastery. Overnight in Hotel
Day13 Gyantse-Lake Yamdrok-Lhasa [3,650m] 261 km, about 4 hrs drive
Full day picturesque drive along the turquoise lake Yamdrok, crossing over Kampala Pass (4794M) and the Brahmaputra River (Yarlung Tsangpo). Overnight in hotel
Two full days sight seeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, Sera Monastery, Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery, etc. Overnight in Hotel
